Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Arc. Yusuf Barnabas Bala received Dr. Diene Keita at the Executive Council Chamber on Thursday 19 April 2018 as part of a 2 days familiarization visit to the State. Also present were the Commissioners of Planning & Budget, Women Affairs & Social Development, Education, Science and Technology as well as representatives of Health and Human Services and the Executive Secretary of the State Primary Health Care Development Agency.
The Kaduna State Deputy Governor during the visit underscored the importance of the SDGs, noting that Kaduna State was the first in Nigerian as a Federation to produce its SDG report. The Deputy Governor expressed appreciation for UNFPA support and partnership with the State especially in further strengthen State capacity on data generation, analysis and use to guide policy, planning and programming and to anticipate challenges.
The UNFPA Representative also visited with Kaduna State Commissioner of Women Affairs, Hadja Hafsat Baba, Rigassa Community , Identified as one of the most deprived communities in Kaduna State.
