UNFPA Nigeria Representative ai visit Gombe State Governor

UNFPA Nigeria Representative a.i. visited the Executive Governor of Gombe State, His Excellency Dr Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo at his residence in Asokoro Abuja- 08/05/2019

UNFPA Nigeria Representative a.i. visited the Executive Governor of Gombe State, His Excellency Dr Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo to show the Agency’s appreciations for the office accommodation from 2011 to April 2019. Dr Eugene Kongnyuy thanked him and congratulates him for the tremendous improvement in the health sector in the state, most especially in completing the Midwifery and Nursing School. Dr Eugene also commended for his achievements the areas of education including Girl child education, vocational skills centres, and College of Medicine in the State University. Dr Eugene assured that UNFPA will continue to support the state and that a programme staff will be posted to Gombe to ensure smooth programming. 

Gov. Dankwambo thanked the Representative a.i. for strong relationship between Gombe State Government and UNFPA, stating that this has made UNFPA a strong and strategic partner of the state. He assured that the incoming new regime will accord UNFPA the same relationship. He added the State will always be ready to support UNFPA and the State expects the same gesture from UNFPA if the need arises, because the state will always work to add value to humanity, which is key to any meaningful development.
