United Nations Population Fund Nigeria Country Office, and Stephanie Linus upon her appointment in 2017 as a UNFPA Regional Ambassador undertook some key duties and assignments in advocating on UNFPA’s mandate. Ms. Linus as designated UNFPA Regional Ambassador worked with UNFPA as a high-profile public advocate for the West Africa region for maternal and reproductive health, and young people’s rights to reach their potential. Linus took full responsibility for the role UNFPA had placed on her, a road map was drawn for the screening of the movie DRY and other high-level events. It was also agreed that since she was serving as a regional ambassador, she should cover some of the West African Country Offices and have a strong presence on maternal health issues and young people.

As Goodwill Ambassador, Ms. Linus advocated for members of the public, policymakers, and other fora on issues of population, reproductive health, young people, and gender, in line with the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development.
