UNFPA Nigeria and the Office of the African Union Youth Envoy are hosting a Town Hall with Young People in Nigeria on the 4th of August. The Town Hall is part of the 60 Days Listening Tour Campaign, an initiative of the Office of the African Union Youth Envoy to promote meaningful participation of African youths in Africa's development processes; promote solution-focused engagements and collaborations among African youths and relevant stakeholders and raise awareness on the mandate of the Office of the African Union Youth Envoy. The event will have the participation of the Country Representative Ms. Ulla Müller and Ms. Chido Cleopatra Mpemba from the African Union Envoy on Youth.
The Town Hall will include a panel discussion with youth leaders on: "Leveraging On Nigerian Youth for Meaningful Participation in Africa's Development Processes" and group discussions on the following thematic areas:
- Youth Livelihoods
- Education
- Public Health
- Climate Change
- Digital Inclusion
- Youth Inclusion
The event will be streaming on YouTube and will take questions live, and via this form can also form.
The youth of Nigeria has a lot to say about their future, and UNFPA Nigeria wants to provide a platform to be listened.
