As girls move into adolescence, gender disparities widen. In Nigeria, this is seen in the number of out of school girls and the percentage increase of child marriage.

The UNFPA Nigeria Country Representative, Madam Victoria Akyeampong recently carried a mission to Borno state. The aim of this mission was to bring to fore the ability of the Nigeria UNFPA Office to deliver the requisite humanitarian and targeted programming response needed by the State.
